We support students who live in Colorado by encouraging them to fuse their personal interests with their educational passions. Students access independent weekly lessons and coursework anytime, anywhere! While their coursework is available for the entire semester, it's paced out weekly, which encourages students to thrive.

CORE - Our "Load Bearing Walls"

We focus on four key areas of development that are essential to success in school and in life.

  • Communication

  • Ownership

  • Relationships

  • Executive Functioning

How Does Village Middle School Work?

Hybrid/Blended Programs maximize the best of online and in-person learning.

VMS students access their core curriculum online and their exploratory classes in-person at the Hub. On Hub days, three blocks are dedicated times for students to connect with peers and teachers for content collaboration. Students work at their pace, using their Buzz calendar to help stay on track. Two additional blocks are for explorations, designed for students to dig deeper into a passion or area of interest.

The Hub

Open to students Mondays - Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

We believe that students will want to be at The Hub! We also recognize that schedule flexibility is a highlight of our program. If a student must arrive late or leave early, a parent or guardian will need to check them in/out at the security office.

Ownership Mindset

With increased flexibility comes increased responsibility. VMS students have the ability to choose when and what they want to work on. With support of teachers, mentors, and those at home, students learn to manage their own calendar and personalize their learning experience.
